Ability to set the Expiration time on new trade sign up emails

When you sign up a trade account the customer gets an email to create a password.
In some customer bases its okay for the link to expire within a set period, as with our shop that's not practical as we supply to the trade, where our customers don't look at their emails till the end of the day or next day morning or even every weekend.
we would like the ability to set the expiration of the 'create a password' link to any time, or even to not expire alone.
