Improvements to "Order Placed Email" Template to fix missing comminication content.
EKM Changed email template set up without notifying of removal of content under customer communications for the "Order Placed Email" sent. Typically T&Cs are sent via email as content within the "Order Placed Email" template. T&Cs are required by Consumer Contracts Legislaion to be sent via a "Durable Medium"
Unfortunately setup is flawed as only sends the "latest" version of template used. If you try inspect what was sent or try to resend- The “Latest” Order template (Not the original) one is resent shows leading to difficulties if change T&Cs. As no longer have a Durable medium copy of what was sent.
With prior setup ( eg back in 2020) can still see historic email communications sent. As unable to easily verify what was sent to the Customer, as presently only (re)produces the latest template:
1) Include all template text in commiunications log; or
2) Implememt Version Control system either of template, or ihave a method of attaching T&Cs to template with VC on attchment
