Hi Paul, this is still under consideration as it only has a handful of votes, which means it isn't a priority in terms of customer demand or is something that could be added onto another update or new feature. In the meantime, you may want to look at Vimeo.com - you can use this both for hosting public videos and private videos accessible only by password, which may suit your needs. :)
