Text Background or Shadow - Category Promo Grid - Aerial

Text on category image grid images can get lost in the image. At the moment, the only solution is to add a colour filter to the image. Is it possible to add a text shadow, background or outline option?

Sorry, I made a typo in the title. It should read 'Test Background or Shadow'.
