Adding show/hide feature to product variants.
Currently I have lots of products with variants and I dont use stock inventory as I dont need to currently. If I have a variant go out of stock or unavailable for example you cannot hide that variant you can only delete it which means you need to add it again later which is time consuming, the only other option is to hide the entire product and all variants. If we could have the ability to hide variants without using stock inventory feature that would be very helpful.

Richard MergedWould like to be able to hide individual variant choices using the hidden field that exists rather than having to use the stock control on the shop.

Will Rhodes MergedWhen adding Variant you are supposed to be able to hide variants that are not available. For. example certain colours of a t-shirt are not available in XXL. This functionality is not available!! Why does all the variant have to be equal? As very rarely do we ever have availability of all sizes in all colours and all options.

Lawrence MergedWhen creating 2 or more variation types on a product page, the variations are automatically created e.g. if selling a T-shirt with different sizes and colours. However, when you do this you get a variations for all possible combinations but no option to remove them individually after this. I may sell a Blue T-shirt in S,M,L, XL but the Red T-shirt only in S,M,L but I have no option to delete the XL variation.
It would be very useful to have the ability to delete individual variations. Even better than this you could give the users the ability to choose i.e. create all variations automatically or create them one by one. -

Chris Dixon MergedThis is preventing me importing our ebay listing that has around 3 variants (6 options in each) and creates 250 variations. So there are too many that would appear as out of stock. Customers would just leave in an instant. Please sort this.

Jamie MergedI really hope this is sorted, it seems this is a really big oversight. We do not want stock control on our website but want the ability to delete a variant because maybe the variant is made in a XL in Black and Red but not in White, but is available in other sizes. Seems strange we'd have to enable stock and then set it to 0, even though the variant has never been available and never will be.

Dan Jones MergedFor example if you have two types of variants (colour & size) and you have three different colours with three different sizes, some variant options may not be available
For example say you have colours green, yellow and red and you have sizes 1, 2 and 3
Yellow in size 3 may not be an option however you are stuck with this option as the variants automatically equate
The only current way to achieve this is to enable stock control and put the specific variant option (in this case yellow in -

DougI have same issue i am not getting all variant products for another season. I DO NOT want to delete the variant which is presently only way to stop people ordering it. I used to be able to "hide" an individual product variant in Magento. If have a Hat in 4 sizes ( S,M,L,XL) I run out of Small I justy was to STOP selling S (Small) The rest of my Site i still want to allow Back order on other "out of stock" Products. Deleting is wrong as it will be back in stock at some point.

Geoff MergedI am new to EKm and have created 60 products with a total of 600 variants, some of which occasionally run low on stock.
Mine is a simpler problem than some other people as I only have 1 type of variant but my problem is compounded by most products being part of the complex DISCOUNT MANAGEMENT addon. Deleting the product temporarily is out of the question because I would then have to recreate the item's discounts once I put it back in after stock renewal, which is a long winded exercise.
The best compromise I came up with was similar to the following example-
Existing variant description- 38" x 90" bin liner- selling price £10.40
Change to- 38" x 90" OUT OF STOCK - Selling price £99.99
People will question the description if they see the high price and read it again.
It may help some of you. I really don't know -
