Trade Discounts - Mismatched Prices on Cart / Checkout and Invoice *Bad UX*
There is a mismatch when using trade pricing, once the item is added to the cart, we want pricing at the shopping cart/checkout and invoice stage to match the prices on the product pages.
This has lead to more questions and phone calls from our customers. The whole point of going with EKM is to offer our customers a smooth transition from phone to online ordering.
Pricing should be consistent to offer fluidity and maximise conversion.

RebeccaEmails and invoices do not match the line item totals and this requires updating too. When the order is exported it shows an overall discount rather than the price paid per item too which is not acceptable.

RoyThis current situation causes confusion as customers ask us why the cart is charging full price, because the combined discount total is often missed.
Also if the cart showed the discounted prices it makes the customers job easier to mark up and see the exact price after discount individually instead of a combined total, where they don’t know how much what cost.
I have been with Ekm for over 15 years and this is typical of them, they come up with much needed improvements and features which in reality are well short of functioning properly.
E.g, Look at gift cards in a mixed item basket affecting free delivery. Or look at delivery discounts calculating on the cart value before trade discounts have even been applied! When it should calculate off the subtotal value AFTER all other trade discounts.
We just end up having to work around these issues with direct dialogue with customers, which we should not have to do as customers expect any good site to have things automated
