The ability to send end-users emails to leave reviews on Products and services, without using a third-party platform.
This could be useful as an addition but there is a way to already do this by adding details in the automated message sent to customers when they place an order or you could add this on your invoice sent to customers.
Would like the ability to add the customer reviews to certain items only. Sell many one off products that I delete after sale. So pointless having a review. But have other items that I sell all the time - these I would like to have reviews on.
If the function would allow a general review of the company and service overall and for the product it would help so much with Google and becoming more trusted as a business etc.
If the app would allow a review from the homepage, rather than having to post it from the product's page. As I was advised by the evolution team when they reviewed my website they said I should hide out of stock products as customers find those annoying. So how can they add a review if the product is now hidden?
Would this encompass general reviews of the company as a whole (like Trustpilot does, for example?) or is this intended to be just for reviews of products and services you provide? I have been looking into various platforms such as Trustpilot to collect reviews but they are too expensive for me at the moment. However, Google Customer reviews are free to use, but Support have told me that it is not compatible with EKM because the Google code includes an estimated delivery date.
This is a pointless exercise unless the reviews collected are certified by Google et al to appear in search results, which I doubt it will be because its not a third party gathering the reviews. As per Google "Shopping reviews for your store domain, which include comments from the various independent sources listed below" - the platform gathering reviews needs to be independent
@Sorina Lupsa What is the point of EKM's "Back In Stock Statistics" if they reccomend hiding "out of stock" products?I never hide out of stock products so the next one in stock can be pre-ordered. The customer leaves their email to be auto informed when it's back in stock.
@Jon - we do recommend that customers hide out of stock Products on their EKM online shops, however this is just a general rule-of-thumb; some shops, dependent on the product lines that they carry, will need to display out of stock products, hence the need for the Back In Stock Statistics feature. :)
I never hide out of stock products either. They are valuable search engine fodder and I don't believe customers are that annoyed by landing on an out of stock product page.
I would like it if you could add a functionality like feedback express, where an email is sent 1 week after order to promt the customer to leave a product review, with a link to take them straight to the item page. It has to be a simple process otherwise the customer gets annoyed and finds it too much hard work. We will get more sales if customers can see reviews, but the customer doesn't think to write one unless promted with a simple link to the item they purchased.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put email product reviews (7 days after despatch) as standard feature...
Whilst EKM continues to round down aggregate product reviews to the nearest integer in Google rich snippet feeds this is moot point. Down grading reviews by up to 20% is not helped by soliciting more ratings from customers. You can never get beyond 4.0 out of 5.0! We need the aggregate feed fixed to to significant figures.
I used this on a previous platform and it generated so many reviews
It would be a great feature if an email goes out to customers automatically 5 or 6 or 7 days after the despatch of items. The reviews should include auto-redirect back to individual products for product reviews and a shop review about their experience using the site/customer service. On my old site I had this feature and it increased sales dramatically.
This would be great feature with and option for customers to update their photos also.
Good to hear there are new reviews features in the pipeline. I was going to use another 3rd party app, reviews.io and had everything setup. But the reviews don't show in search results because there is too much competing schemas on the product pages and the reviews I have added are basically being ignored. Anyhoo, some other features that would be nice would be an email webform for customers to complete and send without having to visit the shop again. A dedicated page on the shop where visitors can view all the reviews. And various review badges that can be added to shop pages and headers/footers.
With the current EKM product review feature, it is difficult to automatically send requests to customers to leave reviews. This is surely something Ekm needs to be offering to say the least! For us this feature is not useful as we are unable to use it. Hope there would be some inprove to the existing feature.
Also, can we have pagination on the reviews. I have some items with 100+ reviews and the system will only display a small number. Having something like < 1 2 3 4 5 >at the bottom of, say 10 reviews, so customers can view the rest.
A Review feature would be excellent please, and especially a company/website option rather than individual products please. A large portion of our products don't really lend themselves to being reviewed individually so we'd prefer customers to be able to rate us as a business.
