Enchanced Search Functionality
When searching for products on sites such as on supermarket sites like ASDA or Tesco, you have additional options once an initial search is done to filter products based on brand, colour etc.
With customers becoming pickier and wanting websites to have more functionality and user friendliness prior to placing an order, the last thing they want to do is to have to manually go through a huge list of products to find what they want based on their search; they will simply look elsewhere. This function would be a great addition to helping to convert more visitors to our site.

I would like to add to this suggestion SORT BY functionality (the same as is in Categories). Come on guys this is MUST TO HAVE. It would add a value to EKM. At the moment search experience from customer perspective is very limited and poor. Please consider this upgrade ASAP. Customers have to have the possibility of sorting a result at least by price high to low and low to high... -

Barbara OszczudlowskaSearch is not optimised in any way in EKM. Some searches in our shop have hundreds of search results being returned and no option to filter them. It must get our customers frustrated. Also, multiple-word search should be treated as a phrase search not a broad one.

Kiron BerrillI'll add to this that the search feature should enable shop owners to configure the data items that should be searched and not just the product name. For instance I sell I a lot of model paints and they have crazy names that don't necessarily convey what colour they are. If I could tell search to also look at things like brand and my custom attributes then a search like red acrylic or army painter blue would work without having to stuff words into the product title
