Add-on Sales, Upsales & Extras
I think we should have an option where when the customer buys a product they have an option to buy add-on products and related products.
I also think this should include an option for the customer to buy a gift bag or gift wrapping for their product buy selecting a gift bag they like at the check out

stephI like how you can have related products show at the bottom of the product page, but it would be great if these can be shown on a seperate page, or a pop up box once that item has been added into the cart, or at checkout.

RyanSomething along these lines has to be a must surely.
When an item is added to basket, a pop up that allows us to Upsell to the customer once it's added. This could be additional items that relate to that product specificially (but not necessarily sold as a singular item on the site), other customers bought this...I suppose a traditional example of this is when a customer adds an electrical item and the upsell / add-on pop up suggest batteries.
In our case, we'd be looking at when a customer adds an off the shelf gift box, the upsell / add-on may feature a number of items they could add to the gift box as an extra.
We'd have to be able to tailor this feature to each product. -

DougRelates Product's need more granularity between alternate and accompanying (upsell products) .... as I done want to suggest a different alternate (Related) model during checkout... as confuses the flow process and holds up the sale ... only additional items should be shown when checking out
