when exporting using the product filters in the import export feature it is not clear that if you do not click include subcategories that when looking to export a certain brand it will only crawl the home page.
all the other filters are set to "all" by default and the filters are set out in a way that looks like they are independent of each other. If the categories also defaulted to all, then you would still be able to change it to a specific category if you wanted, but if you were only using a different filter like "add to cart" then you would get all the results, without having to also tick the sub cat box.
