Option for delivery method bandwidths to use VAT inclusive values
Currently we have free delivery up to an order value £35. This is set to £29.16, as the VAT exclusive price is used in the calculations. However, we also sell zero rated items, so if a customer buys £26.17 of zero rated products, they get free delivery. Another customer will have to spend over £35 on 20% VAT items to get free delivery, then someone who orders both zero and 20% items will be totally confused.
An option to use VAT inclusive prices in the bandwidths would alleviate this inconsistency. Optional for B2B sellers.

Simon Job St Giles Music MergedHi...
We offer free delivery over £15.00, so the discount is set for £14.99 to make this happen.
The problem is that is you buy a £15.99 product that is inclusive of VAT, it is not free delivery as it treats the product as ex VAT £13.33 - therefore charging delivery.
If the discount worked with full VAT, this wouldn't happen and it work correctly. Also the this would not effect the non VAT products.
If I amend the discount to work as ex VAT, all the non VAT products are then treated as free delivery for between £12.49 and £15.00 - which is wrong.
I hope this makes sense and is an easy amendment to the free delivery discount - but feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Many thanks

Paul MergedThis is a problem for us also, as we have zero rated and standard VAT items. We have free delivery over £25, set as £20.83 ex VAT. If a customer buys a VATable item/s under £25 inc VAT, they pay delivery. If they buy zero rated items over £20.84, they get free delivery. Confusing for customers and doesn't encourage add-ons to get to £25. An option for the bands to include or exclude VAT (for B2B sites) would enable consistancy.

Dauwalders of SalisburyWe have temporarily turned off VAT calculations, as the whole system is too confusing, delivery rules and such do not add up properly... a point to note is at the checkout customers are presented the default FREE delivery rule and the standard delivery rule along side! WHY? Delivery rules need a complete overhaul!!!

Paul WestwellThanks, Eve. I have had that conversation with support some time ago (#139653) and they confirmed:
"I've looked into this matter further and, unfortunately, I am unable to offer you a solution. I'm sorry but the system works out the postage charges at the the point of "Sub-Total", before VAT is added, therefore this is when non-VAT goods will be entitled to free shipping as well." -
