Total quantity added to PDF invoices and back office orders

Would it be possible to add a total quantity of items on to PDF order forms and also on the back office orders.
This would be a great help for crosschecking orders for drop-shipping purposes and also for customers who order in large quantities to cross check the total items they have received with the total on their invoice.

This would be extremely useful as well as the quantity line on the order forms being moved over to the left hand side.
