Post code setting in without having to press 'Enter' on PC/mobile keypad

When a post code is input in the text field on the first checkout page (delivery widget), the drop down menu below does not update the restricted post codes until the customer has hit 'return' or 'enter' (on PCS and mobile). This is causing quite a lot of confusion for our customers who then have to get in touch and change their delivery method. Is there a way for the drop-down to update as soon as the post code is put in, and the customer does not have to hit enter etc? Is this possible?
